Online Maths Tutor

I am a mathematics teacher with secondary teaching experience. I graduated in 2017 with an honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, before completing a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.

I have experience teaching at a wide range of secondary schools, delivering lessons to pupils at all ability levels between KS3 and A-Level. I have also been tutoring both online and in-person, tailoring each lesson to match the individual needs of my pupils. I find online tutoring over Zoom to be really engaging and efficient, with pupils enjoying learning through technology. I ensure all my lessons are as visual as possible, so that pupils can gain a contextual understanding of the topics they are learning.

As well as my teaching and tutoring experience, I have organised intervention groups with GCSE pupils, setting regular targets and goals in order to push them to achieve their full potential. During my time at university, I mentored a small group of first-year mathematics undergraduates, delivering weekly tutoring sessions on algebra and probability.

I have tutored and taught pupils at all ability levels, from top-end set 1 pupils to lower ability pupils. I have experience teaching pupils with a range of additional needs, and I take pride in being able to empathise with pupils in their struggles with maths. It’s a tricky subject, after all! I will be here to work through even the most difficult challenges to help gain a rich mathematical understanding.
